The mock-up of the Mir orbital station was designed for the following tasks:

• Study of external layout and interior of the orbital station using the full-size training mock-ups:
  • base module of the Mir space station;
  • KVANT module;
  • KRISTALL module;
  • KVANT-2 module;
• Familiarization with cosmonauts’ activity from the central post of the station’s base module mock-up.
